Details of Disappearance:
Eleven-year-old Teresa disappeared on August 15, 1999, in Macon, Georgia. She was last seen walking near her family’s home, saying she was going to see puppies at a friend’s house, but she never arrived. A big search turned up nothing.

Her mother’s fiancĂ© at the time, Cody Landers, lived with them. Later, in 2000, Landers was convicted of molesting other children and is now in prison. Although he failed a lie detector test about Teresa’s disappearance and considered himself a suspect, police never charged him, and there’s no evidence linking him to her case.

Some investigators think Teresa’s case might be connected to the deaths of two other 11-year-old girls, Heaven Ross and Shannon Paulk, who disappeared in Alabama around the same time of year and from similar locations (trailer parks with nearby construction). Both girls were murdered, but these cases are also unsolved, and there’s no proof linking them to Teresa’s disappearance.

Teresa’s disappearance remains a mystery. Police think something bad happened to her. She attended Alexander IV School and had lived in Bibb County, Georgia.
