Shepherd has scars on his forehead near his hairline and on the top of his head, and scars from surgery to repair a cleft palate. He had a brown beard and mustache at the time of his disappearance.
Details of Disappearance:: Shepherd disappeared in Akron, Ohio on September 10, 2000. His brother left him at a corner (Triplett Blvd and S. Arlington St) with $10. Shepherd was homeless, sleeping rough under bridges. He’d just finished a 3-month program for alcohol problems. He usually talked to his sister every other day, but she hasn’t heard from him since he went missing. He also hasn’t gotten his medicine for epilepsy. Shepherd didn’t finish school and had a criminal record, spending eight years in prison for things like robbery and assault. Police haven’t found him.
