- Sovey disappeared in Millington, Michigan on September 22, 1984. She was visiting with a man named William Bibby. Bibby got into trouble for stealing things in Millington.
Bibby told police he and Sovey argued near a swampy area. He said Sovey met someone else and left. Bibby claimed he lost his car keys and walked away, leaving his car behind. Sovey was never seen again.
People who might have known something refused to talk to police. Bibby went to prison for his thefts. He was released in 1993 but disappeared himself shortly after. Police can’t find him; he’s now considered a missing person and has a warrant out for breaking his parole.
Police searched the swampy area where Sovey was last seen but found nothing. They want to find Bibby to question him again about Sovey’s disappearance, which remains a mystery.
