- Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Dark brown hair, blue/green eyes. Godwin’s nickname is Tommy.
- Details of Disappearance:
- Godwin disappeared from Davie, Florida sometime between May 6th and 11th, 2009. Nobody knows the exact day. He was fired from his job at a Winn-Dixie warehouse after a work accident and missed a final meeting with his bosses on May 11th.
When police checked his apartment on June 19th, the sliding glass door was open, food was spoiled, and he was gone. His white 2000 Honda Accord and his dog, Foxy (a retriever/dachshund mix), were also missing. Strangely, his phone and medicine were left behind. Police used a car tracking device (LoJack) but couldn’t find his car.
Before he vanished, Godwin seemed down because of health and work issues. He was a private person, lived alone, and didn’t have a wife or kids, but he was close to his six sisters and their families. He was a Marine for seven years before working at Winn-Dixie. He hasn’t used his bank accounts or credit cards since.
Police don’t think anyone hurt him, but his family is worried. The case is still a mystery. Pictures of his car and dog are available.
