- On August 12, 2013, 26-year-old Daniels disappeared. She was last seen at 5 p.m. leaving her job as a theater technician at Pensacola State College in Pensacola, Florida.
Eight days later, her gray Toyota 4Runner (license plate ECBOR) was found abandoned at Pensacola Beach, with her phone, purse, bicycle, and other belongings inside. The car had some unknown fingerprints on it.
Daniels had told her boss she’d be gone for a few days, but didn’t explain why, and didn’t tell anyone else. This was unusual for her. There were also some reported sightings of her along Interstate 10 after she vanished.
Police searched thoroughly but found no clues. One theory is that she was a victim of human trafficking, but this remains unconfirmed. Daniels was an artistic young woman who loved hiking. She was originally from Dallas, Texas.
Her disappearance is still a mystery.
