She has the following tattoos: a small rose tattoo with her first name “Tracey” printed across it on her shoulder blade, a snake on her ankle, an unspecified tattoo on her other ankle, and three unspecified tattoos on her breasts. Her nose and ears are pierced. Some agencies may spell her first name “Tracy.”
- Details of Disappearance:
- Brazzel disappeared on May 27, 1995, after leaving a bar in Everett, Washington, around 1:45 a.m. Three days later, her car was found near her apartment in Lynnwood, with a broken passenger window, a small blood stain, and evidence she’d driven it 25 miles after her last gas fill-up. Police found signs she’d returned to her apartment.
Brazzel, a hairstylist, had quit her job two days before disappearing and didn’t collect her final paycheck. Her close relationship with her mother, who she visited daily, made her sudden absence very unusual. Searches yielded no clues.
In 2011, Danny Ross Giles became a suspect in Brazzel’s disappearance and the murder of another woman, Patti Berry. DNA linked Giles to a bloodstain on Brazzel’s car and Berry’s murder scene. Giles had a history of sex crimes. He was charged with both murders but was only convicted of Berry’s murder in 2014, receiving a nearly 50-year sentence. Charges against him in Brazzel’s case were dropped but could be refiled later.
While there were some unconfirmed sightings of Brazzel after her father appeared on Oprah, the circumstances surrounding her disappearance strongly suggest foul play.
