- Details of Disappearance:
- Trevel Saunders disappeared in Columbus, Ohio on July 2, 1999, at the age of approximately 13. He was last seen heading to his friend Dalin Green’s house.
Police searched Green’s home and found strong evidence of a murder: blood, bullets, guns, and Trevell’s ID. Green was in a gang, the Bloodstone Villains, and Trevell wanted to join. There’s a possibility Trevell was killed during a violent gang initiation. Green had a history of violent crimes.
A few days before his disappearance, Trevell told his grandmother he’d been shot in the hand. He claimed he’d shot himself at Green’s house. It’s unclear if this earlier incident is related to his disappearance.
Police believe Trevell is dead and suspect Green, but haven’t charged him. Tragically, Trevell’s younger brother was also murdered in 2009.
Trevel’s case remains unsolved, and his body has never been found.
