- On March 20, 2010, Le and his girlfriend were at Torrey Pines Beach in San Diego. His girlfriend got into trouble in the water, so Le, who couldn’t swim, tried to save her using a boogie board. A strong current pulled them both out to sea. A lifeguard saved Le’s girlfriend, but she was unconscious and seriously hurt. She got better later. Le, a student at San Diego Mesa College, was never found despite a big search. Everyone believes he drowned.
