- On January 18, 2019, Jenkins went kayaking with a friend in Puget Sound, near Bainbridge Island. Their kayak tipped over between Restoration Point and Blakely Rock. Jenkins’s friend made it to shore and called for help, but Jenkins disappeared underwater and hasn’t been found. He’s believed to have drowned.
