- On March 1, 2003, Gomez left his home in Vineland, New Jersey, to walk to a nearby shopping center to buy a remote control. He never arrived and has been missing ever since.
Gomez had only lived in Vineland for five months, moving there from Brooklyn. He was a quiet person with no close friends. His family, who lived with him, said he was healthy and well before he disappeared and moved back to New York after his vanishing.
