- Details of Disappearance:
- Stephanie Nguyen and her two kids, Kristina and John, vanished from Cincinnati in April 2002. Before disappearing, she left notes saying she was unhappy in her marriage and planned to kill herself and her children by driving into the Ohio River.
A police officer briefly saw Stephanie and the children in her green Nissan Pathfinder (license plate ADH7739) the next day, near a river boat ramp. He stopped her for a minor traffic violation.
Then, they disappeared completely.
Years later, in October 2021, her car was found in the Ohio River. Stephanie’s remains were identified from a bone found inside the car in January 2022. However, there was no sign of Kristina and John, and it’s still unknown if they were in the car when it went into the river. The children remain missing.
