Details of Disappearance:
Victor disappeared in Las Cruces, New Mexico on April 8, 1986. He was a teenager involved with gangs and was on probation. His family took him to see his probation officer, then dropped him off near a friend’s apartment. He was supposed to go home that evening but never did.

His friend told police they went to Apodaca Park, and Victor went to the restroom around 2:30 p.m. and never returned. Victor had problems with other gangs. After he disappeared, anonymous calls told his family he’d been killed. His mom thinks his friends knew more than they said. Of his three close friends from that time, only one is still alive; the others died by suicide and murder.

Victor used to go to Sierra Middle School. Police suspect foul play, but there’s not much evidence. His family still lives in Las Cruces and hopes to find out what happened to him.
