- In June 2003, a woman named Chavez vanished from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Six years later, in February 2009, her bones were discovered at a construction site in Albuquerque’s West Mesa area. Sadly, the remains of eleven other women and an unborn baby were found there too. Police are still trying to figure out who killed them – it’s a case they call the West Mesa murders.
