Virginia has scar tissue on her left elbow, a V-shaped scar on her right forearm muscle, and a tattoo of a Playboy bunny on her left shoulder. She has an indentation on one of her front teeth. Some agencies do not hyphenate her last names, as in “Pictou Noyes.”
Details of Disappearance:
In April 1993, Virginia was admitted to a Maine hospital after being assaulted by her husband, Larry, and his brother, Roger. Both were charged, but the charges were dropped when Virginia disappeared from the hospital that same night. She was last seen at a truck stop, trying to get a ride home.

Virginia’s family and police suspect she was murdered, and Larry and Roger were considered the main suspects. They both had criminal records. Virginia had confided in her brother about Larry’s abuse, and she had tried to leave him several times. Larry claimed Virginia left a note saying she was leaving temporarily.

Roger died in 2009, and Larry, who later pleaded guilty to other domestic violence charges, died in 2018. Virginia had a difficult life; she had seven children with different fathers, and two young children died in a fire before her disappearance. After she vanished, her remaining children were taken from Larry’s care and adopted. Her family says she wouldn’t have abandoned her children, and her disappearance remains a mystery.
