Details of Disappearance:
On June 7, 1971, Lawton disappeared while looking at cabins near Nescopeck Creek in Pennsylvania with his wife. He went for a walk at 3:00 p.m. and vanished. Search dogs followed his trail to a railroad bridge, but he was never found despite a big search. Lawton was a math professor at Temple University before retiring due to Parkinson’s Disease. He was officially declared dead seven years later, on June 7, 1978, and the mystery of what happened to him remains unsolved.
