Details of Disappearance:
In September 1981, a man named Cunningham disappeared. He left Bloomington, Indiana with $30,000-$40,000 in cash to see friends in South Bend. The last anyone heard from him was a phone call from Pierceton on September 21st.

Weeks later, his car—a black and silver 1978 Lincoln Continental—was found abandoned and unlocked in a Fort Wayne grocery store parking lot. Valuables were missing from the car, suggesting it had been stolen.

Police think Cunningham was a drug dealer, which explains the large amount of cash. He owned a restaurant in Bloomington with a partner who also vanished after Cunningham disappeared. Police wanted to talk to the partner but couldn’t find him.

Investigators suspect Cunningham was murdered, but his case remains unsolved.
