- Chef Pear disappeared on August 6, 1985. He was last seen leaving his job at a fish company in Morro Bay, California, at 4:30 PM. He told people he was going to Long Beach with a friend and would be back the next day. He might have hitchhiked. He never returned, and nobody has heard from him since. He left all his stuff behind. The police still don’t know what happened to him.
