- On April 28, 2000, Meehan was last seen driving his silver Oldsmobile 88 (license plate YS-597J) north on Highway 35 in Belmar, New Jersey, after leaving MacLearie Park. Later that day, his car was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Route 22 in Green Brook, New Jersey, and the driver ran away. Meehan has disappeared and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. Police in Belmar and New Brunswick are still trying to figure out what happened.
