Details of Disappearance:
In April 1979, a woman named Rucker vanished from Waterloo, Iowa. She was a recently divorced cocktail waitress, and her sister was looking after her three kids. The night she disappeared, Rucker worked late. She called her sister to bring the children to her apartment, promising to join them – but she never showed up.

Rucker had a scary boyfriend, and she’d reported him to the police just days before she disappeared. Her family suspects he killed her, but he was never arrested.

Rucker’s youngest son, David Barrett, was a baby at the time. He was raised by his grandparents and later his sister. He didn’t know his mother had disappeared until he grew up. Despite this difficult start, Barrett became a successful NFL player for the New York Jets and Arizona Cardinals.

To this day, what happened to Rucker is a mystery.
