- On August 28, 1999, a woman named Llanes vanished from Miami, Florida, along with her two sons, Jonathan and Mario Mordoche. They were going to Tampa to see their father, Llanes’s ex-boyfriend. They were driving a rented brown 1999 Chevrolet Malibu (license plate GH830M). Llanes told her family her ex-boyfriend was giving her a new car, so she’d be back in a different vehicle.
However, they never reached Tampa, and nobody has seen or heard from them since. It’s strange because it seems they may not have even left Miami; their apartment showed no signs of packing for a trip, and Llanes even left her toothbrush behind. The mystery of what happened to Llanes and her sons remains unsolved.
