- In February 2009, a woman named Lancaster vanished from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Two years later, her body was found in the woods nearby. Police discovered six other bodies of African-American women in the same area over the past few years. These women all had similar backgrounds—they struggled with drug addiction and worked as prostitutes. Another woman with a similar background is also missing. Detectives think a serial killer may be responsible.
