Details of Disappearance:
In June 1987, Zachary was kidnapped by his father, Rolando Rodriguez. Rolando, who was 28 at the time, had been fighting for custody with Zachary’s mother, Nadine Walter. After Nadine took Zachary to Tennessee without permission, Rolando got temporary custody. He then forcefully took Zachary from a church parking lot, injuring Zachary’s grandfather in the process.

Even though Nadine later regained custody, she never saw Zachary again. Rolando has a history of abducting Zachary; he’d done it once before, when Zachary was just a baby. Rolando is described as a Hispanic man, about 5’6″ and 120 pounds, with brown hair and eyes, and possibly a mustache. He may use different names.

Things got complicated when Nadine and her boyfriend, William Nally, were involved in a murder. Nally shot a lawyer, Timothy McNamee, who had worked with Rolando. Nadine testified against Nally, receiving immunity from prosecution in exchange. Nally was convicted and died in prison.

Over the years, there have been several possible sightings of Rolando and Zachary, but they remain missing. Rolando has been arrested a few times but escaped before his identity was confirmed. Nadine, after a complicated legal past, has dedicated herself to finding Zachary and continues to cooperate with law enforcement. Zachary’s disappearance is still an open case.
